Phoebe's tvarohové šátecky
Thanks to Phoebe Tayerle for her recipe for tvarohové šátečky. Phoebe was wanting to make a pastry similar to those in Czech called: tvarohové šátečky, so she adapted recipes from 'Tori Avey' and 'Geoff's Baking Blog'
Ingredients:
- Short Cut Pastry (Phoebe used "homebrand" frozen sheet pastry)
- 500g Wangapeka Quark
- Caster Sugar
- 2 Egg Yolks
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Zest of one lemon
Mix 500g of quark with 1/2 or less of caster sugar, add 2x egg yolks, 1 tsp vanilla extract, zest of 1 lemon.
Place custard textured mix into middle of pastry squares and folded in the corners to make parcels.
Cook on 200 C for about 10-15 minutes.
Serve warm or cold with icing sugar sprinkled over.
